Leadership Presence Coaching

On any given day, do you…

  • Multi-task between emails, instant messaging and actual telephone calls?
  • Think about something else while having conversations with your team or during a board meeting?
  • Have thoughts bouncing between making a certain strategic decision or wondering whether you’ll make it in time for your child’s athletic event that evening?
  • Find it difficult to live in the present and slow down the pace of your hectic life?
  • Don’t make the time to practice Mindfulness even though you have an understanding of what it is and see the benefits?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you are in the right place.  When undertaking any new behavior or mindset, there’s a struggle in merging the intellect with application. Mindfulness is about being aware, and having the awareness of this struggle is half the battle.

Once you recognize that struggle, and you are uncomfortable enough, you are ready to make the change.  So the question is are you ready?  Though some people try Mindfulness on their own, they fall back into the same distracted, half-listening, reactive pattern of leadership.

Coaching is the support you need to bridge the gap from good intention to actually changing how you live and lead.

Why do CEOs, Senior Executives and High-level Professionals need a program like this?

Because you want to take your business to places that your current efforts can not get you. You are drained, distracted, and discouraged.  You know something needs to change and you’ve been spinning your wheels trying to make things happen on your own accord.  Perhaps you have tried other approaches and they worked for a while, but old habits kicked in and you are ready to try something that is practical to do every day and gets results.

Support that is consistent and structured makes new habits stick.  Just like any new behavior we are trying to implement, we resist what is unfamiliar and takes us out of our comfort.

Mindfulness training has begun to produce results in traditional companies like General Mills, start-ups such as Google, professional sports teams through coaches such as NBA Coach Phil Jackson, and even the US Marine Corps.  These organizations have demands that can lead to overwhelm and uncertainty just like yours.  What these leaders have discovered is the benefit of training their attention has taken them to heightened levels of success and innovative solutions are key to survival amidst their fast-paced day to day activities.

Leadership Presence Coaching Can Help

Leadership Presence Coaching provides you with the support to set aside the time to practice that enables you to unclutter your mind and work with greater clarity and creativeness.  Besides what you will accomplish in your organization, HOW you show-up as a Leader will also positively impact your team, loved ones, and the legacy of how you will be remembered.

How Leadership Presence Coaching Works

During coaching sessions, we integrate designated attention methods and the following seven principles of mindfulness:

  • Curiosity – to identify stuck points and core beliefs that are getting in your way
  • Non-Judgment – dismiss labeling yourself or others in a negative way
  • Non-striving – forcing yourself to be at a certain place
  • Patience – allowing change to unfold in its own time
  • Trust – of yourself and others
  • Acceptance – where you are right now, it doesn’t mean you will always be at this place
  • Letting Go – of expectations and how you think things should be

The Coaching process helps you to examine the habitual reactions and patterns you are holding onto. We work at a pace comfortable to you and address the areas of growth you identify.

Leadership Presence Coaching Structure

We recognize that every Professional’s situation is unique and we strive to meet your particular needs. After completing a questionnaire to identify your coaching outcomes, we meet face-to-face for an extended meeting.  Thereafter we meet via phone or face-to-face (depending on your geographic location) twice a month.

Depending on your situation, we may meet with your direct subordinates or with other team members if that appears to be beneficial to facilitate the desired outcome.

The coaching duration is tailored to your particular situation.

Is Leadership Presence Coaching for you?

The ideal client for our coaching program is Senior Executives, CEO’s, and Human Resource Professionals.  The work is rewarding and will bring a deep sense of peace, contentment, and perspective that is transformative in how you live and lead.

The benefits come through practice.  The coaching does not replace the necessity of practicing the attention training exercises on your own.   Research supports how these exercises will rewire the neural pathways in your brain and just like any new behavior, the more you do it the more it becomes part of you.

This is a customized program for high profile professionals.

What’s the Next Step?

If you want to change, you’re next step is a complimentary Leadership Presence Strategy Session.  During this conversation, we will discuss your current situation, the approaches you have tried, and the outcomes you want to achieve.  We will discuss the specifics of our coaching program and answer any questions you may have.
