How to walk your talk to be both a Smart and Healthy Leader
Walking my talk is one of my core values.
It is a privilege to work with executive leaders, helping them lead themselves effectively so they can, in turn, lead their teams and organizations with excellence. I hold this responsibility in high regard.
That’s why having an inner circle of like-minded colleagues who also value “Walking our talk” is so important to me.
Recently we met for the first time for an in-person retreat.
Collectively, we marveled at how the rapport and sense of connection were just as real as when we meet during our monthly Zoom meetings.
Together, we support each other in implementing best practices for organizational health, guiding our clients to make smart business and life decisions, and designing solutions to enhance productivity and profitability. We recognize that the ‘smart‘ side of leadership is only effective when people work well together, address conflict constructively, and build a foundation of vulnerability-based trust—this is the ‘healthy‘ side of leadership.
In order to guide executives to do any of the above effectively, we place high priority on doing our own inner work.
Over the two-plus years we’ve been meeting, we’ve supported each other through life’s challenges and joys.
From loss of family members, divorce, weddings, addiction, life-threatening illness, to aging parents, we come together authentically, prepared to share and learn from both our challenges and triumphs.
Yes, we talked about the best ways to serve our clients; most importantly, we shared personal blocks and aspirations to grow so that we continue to “walk our talk” and show up as our best for our clients.
Q: Who are people in your inner circle who support you to “walk your talk”?
Make the Conscious Choice to surround yourself with a supportive inner circle so you walk your talk to be both a smart and healthy leader.
